Who operates this website

GSM Performance Limited (company number 09256002) runs and manages Takata Racing UK and is responsible for your personal information. Flying Penguin builds and maintains the website. Your basket and checkout

Your browser stores your basket so it remains available when you return. Checkout sends the details you provide to GSM’s order system and your chosen payment provider to prepare and process your order. Card details are entered directly with the payment provider.

Cookies and your choices

Essential browser storage keeps your basket, cookie preference and checkout reference available and helps prevent duplicate submissions. Your cookie choice lasts for up to six months. Choose Cookie settings in the footer to change it at any time. Shopping and payment work when you choose Necessary only.

Optional Google Analytics

If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics records visits, device and traffic information, product selections, basket activity and checkout events. Its first-party analytics cookies last for up to six months. We send confirmed purchase events from our server only when analytics consent and a valid analytics browser identifier were supplied at checkout. We do not send names, email addresses, postal addresses, card details or free-form checkout fields to Google. Advertising signals and personalisation are disabled.

Withdrawing consent stops further analytics in this browser, removes its Google Analytics cookies and requests cancellation of queued analytics for the current checkout. It does not undo data already processed. Google processes analytics under its privacy policy. Analytics may undercount visits or orders when consent is declined or tracking is blocked.

Operational checkout reports

To operate checkout and investigate problems, GSM records checkout stages, a random attempt reference, safe error codes and any linked GSM order number. These reports support order handling and staff failure alerts. They do not depend on optional analytics consent and contain no card details or copied delivery form fields. The checkout event timeline is retained for up to 90 days; ordinary order records follow GSM’s published retention policy.

Contact enquiries

The contact form sends your name, email address, message and any optional phone, order reference or vehicle details to GSM Performance through Mailgun’s EU email service. Replying to your enquiry uses the address you provide. Enquiry text is held in GSM’s mailbox; the website keeps only a random reference, a request checksum and delivery status for up to 30 days to prevent duplicate submissions. We do not send enquiry contents to Google Analytics or use this form to subscribe you to marketing.

Chat with Cally

When you send a chat message, Cally receives your question, the page you are viewing and the selected products in your basket to help answer it. Supabase hosts the chat service and Anthropic processes questions to generate replies. GSM saves chat transcripts in its Command Center for support and review. This is a digital assistant; it cannot look up or change private orders. Use Message GSM to submit an enquiry directly to the team.

This browser tab keeps a random chat reference and recent messages in session storage. Start a new chat clears the conversation shown in this tab; it does not delete GSM’s saved transcript. Avoid sharing passwords, card details or sensitive personal information. Contact GSM for retention or deletion requests.

Order messages

GSM sends order emails through its Mailgun service. If you select the optional SMS confirmation at checkout, we send your UK mobile number and a short payment-confirmation message through BulkGate using the Takata UK sender profile. This is a service message about your purchase. We do not subscribe you to marketing. The SMS delivery ledger retains the order reference, a request checksum and provider status; it does not retain your phone number or message text.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. GSM’s order platform and payment providers process the information needed to fulfil your purchase. For retention, access, correction or deletion enquiries, contact GSM.
